I need to start blogging

I haven't blogged much ..
and I can't figure out why.
I want to,but find myself unsure of what to write.
Maybe this will be my new start. Should I?

A time for every season...

I was thinking today about Ecclesiastes 3. (Think Bryd's song..) I think its because its the birthday of a good friend who died earlier this year. I found strange comfort in the passage, I think because there is a hope for the future in it somehow. A reminder that seasons in fact do change, but that we all at some time are going to experience joy and sorrow and to take each before God. I am learning more and more to do that..

The both and Church

I was listening today to part of a teaching by Rich Nathan (pastor of the Colombus Vineyard in Ohio) who was talking about the "both and" church. That the church can care deeply about encouraging people towards Jesus and also care about their human condition. We can care about the souls of those around us, as well as their circumstances, just like Jesus did. It wasn't new teaching for me, but I really liked how he said it.

My first blog posting..

I have always wondered why I should have a blog.. and then wondered if I would even write in it if I had one. I read other blogs and think they seem so wise and interesting.. this blog won't be!
Anyway, a friend of mine the other week (you know who you are) said that she would read my blog if I had one. Here goes!
